Blog 1: My autobiography
Hello!
So in this first entry we have to talk about our autobiography, so let's just jump into it!
I was born on July 28th, 1997, in a little town called Talagante, near Santiago, Chile. My mother and my father used to live in the south zone of Chile, but then they meet moved to this little town.
I studied in a primary school and high school that was super close to my house. I could wake up super late and still get in time for my classes!
But then I had to start studying at a university.
There are not universities in Talagante, so everybody here has to start living in Santiago or has to travel between 1 and 3 hours to get to the city, it depends.
For example, it takes me almost 2 hours to get to my college every day. I can't wake up super late now!
I decided that if I had to travel so much, it was going to be for something I really like! So that was why I wanted to study Studio Art at the University of Chile, and gladly I liked it a lot!
And luckily my family supports me. We are 7 members who live in this house, and they help me a lot when I have to make big art projects, and stuff! Especially in my first years, when I was learning yet and didn't have a lot of experience.
But through time, I realized I wasn't interested only in galleries, fine art museums and workshops (even if I enjoy them a lot), I get interested in graphic illustration, and webcomics, so in 2019 I began to attend different artisanal and illustrators markets, and I became a freelancer, posting on social media my own drawings and character designs, selling merch of my creations, while I keep studying.
Currently, because of the quarantine I can't go to these groups and got to sell my art, but I'm still drawing every day and I keep in touch with a lot of artists and cartoonists from Santiago.
I love to draw, I own a digital pen tablet to draw on my computer, and also I play a lot of videogames with my friends online, not to mention, watch a lot of series on Netflix with my family, especially my brother and sister, we love to comment and debate the shows. shows we watch together.
